illegal car crash claim gang
An illegal car crash claim gang operating in the East End of London have been exposed. Undercover representatives discovered that the car crash claim criminals also own a no win, no fee compensation business. They promise customers that they will stage car accidents for just £500, agreeing to pay out as much as £5,000 in return.
The owner of the business told the insider, "my guys do the crash, after the crash I call you and explain to you what the process is and what the next steps should be. The passenger injury claim may be £3,000 per person, and you get a decent hire car free for a few months until it is sorted."
A representative with the Insurance Fraud Bureau alerted us that the car crash claim gangs posed a real danger to honest drivers. "These gangs engineer situations which the innocent driver has no time to avoid, like suddenly pulling out of a junction. There is a real risk to innocent people," she said.

no win, no fee compensation for injuries he sustained in the schoolyard
A youngster from Cornwall has won the right to receive no win, no fee compensation for injuries he sustained in the schoolyard.
A judge hearing the boy's no win, no fee compensation case at the Appeal Court ruled that it was "quite inappropriate" to leave 150 schoolchildren "effectively unsupervised" and that the man, now 22, should be allowed to proceed with his claim.
The youth was 14 at the time of the incident, when he had a very promising dream as a footballer, where hoped to turn professional. However due to the unacceptable school accident, which arose when he was struck in the eye with a stone thrown by a fellow peer, resulted in him suffering a wound to the eye and developing impaired vision.
The judge commented, "To have one supervisor stretched to manage over 150 pupils in Years 7 and 8, and only glancing occasionally at Years 9 and 10, was, in my view, clearly negligent. Since the purpose of appropriate supervision is to deter children taking part in dangerous activities, and to stop dangerous activities if they do occur. A court should not be too willing to accept that the dangerous activity would have occurred anyway."
There have been reports in the media that the young man will now receive a large no win, no fee compensation settlement.

Reports that nine car accidents a day are the fault of the police
There have been reports that nine car accidents a day are the fault of the police in the UK, totalling 3,357 car crashes a year. However as the information given from the police is not exact the actual numbers could be higher.
The enquiry into personal injury endured by those involved in police-related road traffic accidents occurs after a policeman was sentenced to three years behind bars after killing a teenager last year in a car crash due to speeding.
The personal injury suffered ranges from whiplash to being trapped in the wheels of a vehicle and fatal injury.
A spokesperson said, "The high number of crashes caused by simple driver errors is shocking. We urge all police forces to follow best practice by making road safety an issue to champion right from the top."
A police spokesperson asked that the car accident figures should be viewed in the context of there being tens of thousands of police cars on the road.

Teenager receives £2.8 million in compensation claim
A teenager from East Sussex has received a sum of £2.8 million in compensation after making a car crash claim for an incident in which he was crossing the A259 only to be struck by a motor vehicle.
The teenager suffered severe multiple injuries, including brain damage and a broken leg. He decided to take his claim to the High Court in London.
Although the insurers of the driver who hit the teenager did not admit liability for the incident, the claimant's personal injury lawyer managed to get them to agree to a settlement. The boy's father commented, "It's a total relief to us, the mental and physical stress of caring for someone with a brain injury is exhausting. My advice to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation is to get proper legal advice as soon as possible."
